What to do in Bloemfontein this weekend─── 12:21 Fri, 06 Oct 2017
A lot is happening in Bloemfontein this coming, if you are in town you might want to attend one of the following events:
- The city of Manguang will be hosting the 20th year of Macufe until Sunday, October 8. The festival is known to be the biggest, and most cultural festival not only in the Free State but attracts international African artists from all around the world.
- For all the sports lovers, South Africa will take on Bangladesh in the second test match at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein from Friday until Tuesday.
- Rugby fans, on Friday the Free State Cheetahs take on the Blue Bulls at 18:00 in a Currie Cup fixture at the Toyota Stadium. Straight after the Cheetahs take on Glasgow Warriors Friday in a Guinness Pro 14 match. The match kicks off at 20:30

- The Bloemfontein Zoo has hosted a Macufe School Holiday programme, for children aged five to 15. The day’s activities include storytelling, puppetry, indigenous games and educational talks on snakes. Entrance fees are R17 per child and R32 per adult.
- Bloemfontein will also be having a night market from 16:00 to 22:00 on Friday in Eeufeesweg, Bayswater. You can expect good food and great company.
- If you are into fitness, there will be a Makro Trail run taking place on Saturday morning. The 21km starts at 7:30, 10 and 5km at 08:00 and the 1 km kiddy trail run starts at 08:05.
