South African artist Bobby van Jaarsveld and his wife, Annatjie's first child has just been welcomed into the world. Van Jaarsveld Tweeted that Sion van Jaarsveld was born about an hour ago, weighing 3.3kg. Van Jaarsveld says they decided on the name Sion before the birth. He said it means to reach your highest calling, to stand strong as a mountain, and also 'heavenly'. The Van Jaarsveld family have been receiving a stream of well-wishing messages on both Facebook and Twitter.
