Rosettenville - Hijackers beat a man to death with a brick in Rosettenville, south of Johannesburg, according to reports today. His wife witnessed the murder in the early hours of Saturday morning. The couple was driving from Springs in their BMW around 02:00 when hijackers attacked them at a traffic light in Rosettenville. Reports claim the wife managed to run away and hide nearby, but the hijackers hit her husband with a brick in the face. His assailants then drove off, but returned after seeing that the man was still alive. A security guard who witnessed the incident said the hijackers turned back when the man started crawling to the side of the road. They hit him again with the brick. He died on the scene. – Sapa
