One of South Africa's greatest veteran journalists passed away.
Zelda Jongbloed was a leader, activist and a women who contributed a tremendous amount to journalism, ethics and society as a whole.
According to the DA's release, Jongbloed fought a long and brave battle against cancer and throughout her battle, she continued to inspire others.
The DA's Jaco Londt says she was an inspiration and mentor to many and she will be deeply missed. Her unwavering commitment to the cause and the constituents she represented was admirable.
Zelda was also a prominent figure in the media world before she joined the DA as a public representative. The party has expressed its condolences to her friends and family.
