Veteran journalist, Allistair Sparks, dies─── 07:32 Tue, 20 Sep 2016

Johannesburg - Allister Sparks, writer, journalist and political commentator, died yesterday morning at the Morningside Clinic.
The 83-year-old Sparks was editor of the Rand Daily Mail when it broke the so-called Muldergate story in the late 1970s.
According to his son Michael, his father spent 12 days in the hospital due to an infection. Sparks' four sons, Michael, Simon, Andrew, and Julian, spent his last days with him.
A memorial is being planned for Friday 14 October, at 11:00, at the Braamfontein Crematorium.
