Armed robbers target jewellery store in Cavendish, Claremont─── 15:28 Tue, 15 Sep 2015
Cape Town - Four armed men held up staff at a jewellery store in the Cavendish Square mall in Claremont on Tuesday, Western Cape police said.
The incident happened just before 11am, police spokesman FC van Wyk said.
“They threatened the staff and smashed the display cabinets, with the smoke alarms being activated … they fled with watches,” Van Wyk said, who added that no shots were fired and no injuries reported.
Detectives were on the scene investigating. No arrests have been made.
