Bloemfontein - Parliament, provincial legislatures and municipal councils across the country have convened special sittings today to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation, Nelson Mandela.
Spokesperson Qondile Khedama says the special sitting of the Mangaung Metro Council takes place in the Council Chambers at the Bram Fischer Building in Bloemfontein from 1pm.
Khedama says public servants and municipal employees will gather at City Hall from 10am tomorrow for a prayer session and to witness the national memorial service in Johannesburg via live streaming.

He is also inviting members of the public to attend this event or to watch the memorial service via live streaming at any of the Metro’s regional offices such as the ones in Rocklands, Thaba ‘Nchu and Botshabelo.
