Protest action has flared up in the vicinity of Leeudoringstad in the North West. Protestors are currently blocking roads with rocks and burning tyres.
Police spokesperson, Adele Myburgh, says approximately 300 youngsters are participating in the protest actions and blocking roads within the Kgakale Village, which is inside the township.
It is alleged the protests are over the lack of service delivery in the area. Motorists are at this stage urged to use alternative routes and avoid the area. Myburgh says the police are on the scene and monitoring the situation closely.
