SAPS in Kimberley donate to learners in need─── MARK STEENBOK 17:08 Mon, 26 Mar 2018
Members of the Kimberley Flying Squad Unit today paid a visit at the Masiza Primary school, Tetlanyo High School and Boitumelo Special School to donate school shoes to needy learners.
Police spokesperson, Majang Skalkie, says the schools are located in Galeshewe and Phutanang Kagisho respectively.
He says the programme was run with the support of the management at the three schools, after the learners were identified by their school teachers.
Skalkie says the unit further adopted three families that are in need. OFM News Mark Steenbok has more.
“The unit adopted the three families and their situation will be monitored on a monthly basis. The programme will be an on-going programme and will be monitored by the unit. They further donated three food parcels to three learners that come from disadvantaged families,” says Skalkie.
