Tripartite Alliance relations under spotlight in NW─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 09:12 Sat, 08 Jul 2017
Klerksdorp - Relations between the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the ANC in the North West will tomorrow be placed under the spotlight during a Special Provincial Council.
The SACP Provincial Secretary, Madoda Sambatha, says issues concerning leadership and elections will be ironed out at this sitting ahead of the SACP National congress, which starts next week.
Sambatha says it is highly debated as to whether the organisation should contest the election on its own or under the Tripartite Alliance.
National Chairperson, Comrade Senzeni Zokwana, is expected to give a key note address.
The Special Provincial Council is convened as part of the final preparations for the SACP's 14th National Congress.
He says “the Council will generate provincial positions to be presented at the National Congress on among others the state of the Alliance, Building the Party, SACP & State Power”.
