"No water or electricity cuts for Madibeng," promises municipality─── 17:10 Tue, 11 Apr 2017
Brits - The Madibeng Local Municipality in the North West says it is dealing with the water crisis in the area concurrently with its debt to Eskom and can assure the public that there will be no water nor power cuts ahead of the Easter Holidays.
Municipal spokesperson, Tumelo Tshabalala, says although several communities were recently severely affected by water cuts due to pipe repairs, he is certain that communities will not endure any service delivery cuts this coming holiday. He adds that thus far the municipality is still up to date with its payment plan to the power utility.
Tshabalala says, “We can assure the public that they will have water over the weekend. We are further appealing to our consumers to use water very sparingly”.
