"Thanks Shoprite Checkers and OFM"─── 13:30 Wed, 15 Mar 2017
Dreams will come true for Martie du Plessis school, Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State after receiving R185 000 raised at the Shoprite Checkers OFM Chip4Charity Golf Day in Bloemfontein recently.
The two recipients of the donation gave a presentation about the breakdown at Media Park in Bloemfontein today. They discussed what they plan to do with the donation and how it will contribute to the warmhearted work they do for children's upliftment and development.
Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State is going to create a mobile computer centre to help children in Heidedal and Mangaung doing homework and gaining essential life skills.
Martie du Plessis school will further develop the inclusive playground at the school to make it even more accessible to children in wheelchairs by covering the sand and dust ground between apparatus with artificial grass.
