Rustenburg - Two dangerous inmates who escaped from Mogwase Prison in Rustenburg have been rearrested, while six others are still on the run.
Correctional services spokesperson, Manelisi Wolela, says Loyd Mulungu and Joseph Miambu were rearrested close to the South African and Zimbabwean border.
Mandla Matimba Mokoena, Alfonso Mpofu, Chris Sithole, Knowledge Machesa, Emmanuel Hobe/Banda, and Cloupuis Tapiwa are still at large.
Acting regional correctional services commissioner, Willie Damons, says the investigation into the escape is at an advanced stage.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the six escapees are requested to contact Captain Phekoat on 082-373-9806.
