At least 50 killed in DRC mine collapse─── 09:29 Sat, 12 Sep 2020
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, at least 50 people have died in a gold mine collapse.
It's reported that several miners were in the shaft when it caved in following heavy rains.
Photos and videos on social media show hundreds of people gathering around the mine's entrance.
Mining accidents are common in unregulated artisanal mines in the DRC.
Last year, over 60 miners died in landslides in two separate incidents.
