The Dolphins are confident that they can secure their first win of the CSA 4-Day series this week when they face the Knights in Bloemfontein this morning.

The Dolphins are currently at the bottom of the log, albeit they have only played two games.

Both of their games against Western Province and the Titans were played at home, and they have also had some rotten luck with the weather.

The pressure is also on the Knights after they lost last week, while they have managed a single win at home this season.

The Dolphins coach and former Knights fast bowler, Quinton Friend, told OFM Sport they back themselves.

“We knew what we had to work on after the Western Province game and I think we took that into the Titans match, which was unfortunately dominated by weather,” said Friend.

“With that said, we are completely focused on this game against the Knights because it’s going to be an important game for us.

“The squad knows how important the next two matches are for us to set us up for the December break.”

The Dolphins won the toss on Thursday morning and elected to have a bat first.

The Knights made two changes to their teams this week with Gihahn Cloete coming in as the wicketkeeper and the big-hitting opening batter Jacques Snyman making his return to the playing XI. Garnett Tarr and Isaac Dikgale made their way into the team.
