The ITEC Knights have acquired the services of the former Proteas spinner, Dane Piedt, for the remainder of the season.
Piedt, who up until recently was playing in the USA will fall in with the Knights on Monday as they prepare to open their CSA 4-Day series campaign on Friday.
Piedt has represented the Proteas in nine Tests and he has 26 Test wickets to his name. He also boasts a best bowling display in a Test of 8/152.
He has played in 115 first-class games, mainly for Western Proteas, and he has 409 wickets and a best bowling performance of 8/130.
With the bat, Piedt has a first-class century behind his name as well as 12 fifties.
Apart from playing for Western Province and the Cape Cobras, Piedt has also represented the South Western Districts as well as Morrisville Unity and the Washington Freedom.
The Knights will face the Limpopo Impalas from Thursday at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein in their first game of the 4-Day series.
