Residents in Kimberley are warned on social media about a suspected armed hijacker who is on the run after he allegedly shot and killed two police officers.
It is alleged that he had stolen a vehicle in Bloemfontein and fled from the scene in Kimberley where he shot two police officers in Beaconsfield, close to the Diamond Pavillion Mall.
According to reports doing the rounds, the police officers were shot and killed trying to apprehend the suspect close to the mall.
A voice note from a Community Policing Forum group warned community members to stay clear of the mall since the suspect has a police-issued R5 rifle.
The CPF member warned that the suspect is armed and dangerous.
OFM News received unconfirmed reports about the incident and has approached the SAPS, who committed to send a press release.
