Kovsie Football has welcomed a new female head coach for the women’s football team. This is a new thing for the team as they have never had a female coach before.

Jabulile Baloyi is a skilled coach who has a CAF-A license for coaching, so she is well-advanced in her coaching skills and looks forward to joining the Kovsies Football family.

Her role in the team is to increase and improve women’s football development in the institution and also to ensure that women’s football is promoted.

“We want to make sure that our athletes are supported academically and psycho-socially – my role as a coach is to ensure that they are supported tremendously,” said Baloyi.

She plans on producing players that will be part of the national team structures, whether the junior national teams or senior teams.

Baloyi says her duty is to help the team advance and get to the next level of competing in all competitions they are involved in.

“I am also looking forward to working with the technical team I am leading and also the players working together towards one vision to see this team going beyond the things they have achieved,” she added.

One of the goals for the team is to get into the Sasol National Club championships and their plan is to first dominate the league they are in.

“When you want to be a champion you do extraordinary things and not ordinary things,” she finished off.

She is thankful for the opportunity and to the institution for allowing her to continue being a pioneer in women’s football development.
