North West school reopens after weeks of no schooling─── LUCKY NKUYANE 15:46 Thu, 18 Aug 2022
North West school pupils in the Morokweng Village near Ganyesa spent four weeks without schooling, since the start of the third term of this academic year.
According to a provincial Education Department spokesperson, Elias Malindi, parents had complained about the conditions of the Morokweng Primary School. This comes as the issue of schooling in the province is being highlighted across certain villages, where pupils use government transport to ferry them to schools. OFM News previously reported that it was alleged that school pupils travelling from Rooiwal Village to Tshefoge Primary School in Vaalboschloot and Brits, missed schooling after the schools were reopened for the third time.

Meanwhile, Malindi says the schooling activities at the Morokweng Primary School have resumed and a recovery plan is in place to cover the lost classroom time.
“Since the beginning of the third quarter on 19 July 2022, learners could not return to school because parents wanted a new school. The school has received 20 mobile classrooms to mitigate the challenging school environment. Two more will be delivered. There will then be 22 mobile classrooms, Malindi adds.
The school is also expected to not close for spring break with the aim to catch up and conclude the syllabus.
