Another accident on #R30 - despite road closure─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 05:53 Mon, 20 Jun 2022
A motorist has survived an accident scare on the notorious R30 road between Allanridge and Bothaville in the Free State - despite signs indicating the road is closed for traffic.
This comes mere weeks after the Free State Executive Committee (EXCO), led by Premier Sisi Ntombela, visited the road as part of the infrastructure road show.
Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Sipho Towa, tells OFM News that the vehicle submerged in the water on the R30 road, as motorists continue to ignore road closure signs.
He says a driver and a passenger survived without injuries yesterday, and the vehicle was towed out of the water by emergency personnel.
