A 30-year-old man from Qwa-Qwa in the Free State has been arrested after allegedly attacking his parents - killing his mother and seriously injuring his father.
Police Spokesperson Phumelelo Dlamini confirms to OFM News that the man was arrested late on Wednesday night.
OFM News previously reported that police were searching for the man after his mother's murder - which took place between Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
The husband of the deceased found the accused in their garage on Tuesday morning, allegedly packing the body parts of the deceased into plastic.
Dlamini said upon the man walking in on the scene, he confronted his son, who then allegedly stabbed him in the chest. He is reportedly in Pelonomi Hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
