Water restored to Free State municipality─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:35 Sun, 05 Jun 2022
Residents of the Masilonyana Local Municipality will breathe a sigh of relief after water supply was restored last night.
This, after having been without water for more than ten days.
According to municipal spokesperson, Zongezile Ntjhwabule, the installation of a water pump was completed last night and water was immediately pumped to reservoirs.
He said engineers were however still building up enough pressure before releasing water to the community.

Irate residents of Masilonyana took to the streets after various entities, such as schools and municipal offices among others, were deeply affected by dry taps.
One of the community leaders, Tshepo Maredi, had alleged that lack of water supply towards the end of each month has become the norm.
