Residents of Mangaung have braved the cold weather to attend the long-awaited presidential Imbizo at Dr Petrus Molemela Indoor Sports Centre in Bloemfontein in the Free State.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will discuss with community members their issues regarding service delivery challenges, initiatives and solutions to improve socio-economic conditions.
The Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF) has previously protested at various government buildings against, among other things, issues of service delivery, nepotism and illegal foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF), Potso Motoko, said residents are hopeful that Mangaung's state of affairs will change after the presidential Imbizo.
