Cogta moves to thwart administrative chaos in Mangaung─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:27 Sat, 02 Apr 2022
The minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, is said to be planning a move on the Mangaung Metro Municipality and its council which will see it being stripped of its executive powers.
Dlamini Zuma allegedly has an impression that the provincial Cogta Department, led by MEC Mxolisi Dukwana, is treating the Metro with kid gloves.
The Metro has been in the spotlight recently for all the wrong reasons - and was under scrutiny during a National Council of Provinces (NCOP) sitting this week held at the Free State Legislature.
