Friends and family of the late SABC video journalist Thabo Katsande said their goodbyes to the gifted journalist yesterday at the Rose Hall in Mangaung.
At his service, Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela said the outpouring of tributes after the announcement of his passing speaks volumes about the character of the man.
She said that it was not easy to process Katsande's death as he was a gifted journalist whose work spoke for itself.
Ntombela said that the media fraternity will be poorer without him. She concluded that the pain of losing Katsande will take time to get used to and Free State people will no longer see the charismatic man running around with a camera looking for perfect shots.
OFM News previously reported that the 48-year-old Katsande died due to heart complications.
