North West Premier, Bushy Maape, is set to assist grieving family members of people who died in a horrible accident that claimed 19 lives over the weekend.
The spokesperson of the North West Premier, Sello Tatai, says the family members were traveling from Bloemhof after attending a wedding anniversary of a relative. According to Tatai, the deceased are from the Ipelegeng Township in Schweizer-Reneke in the Mamusa Local Municipality, and 14 of them are from the same family.
Tatai says Maape has assembled a team of officials that will explore all avenues to assist grieving family members. Tatai further adds that Maape has also called on the community and other stakeholders to be patient as investigations are underway. He also adds that Maape, together with the MEC for Community, Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari, as well as Mamusa Local Municipal Mayor, Seitabeleng Chelechele, visited the bereaved family members on Monday.
