Mantsopa Municipality appoints acting MM─── CATHY DLODLO 13:07 Thu, 05 Aug 2021
The Mantsopa Local Municipality, that include Tweespruit and Ladybrand, has appointed an acting Municipal Manager after its manager passed away due to Covid-19 related complications.
Thamae Masejane was admitted to the Mediclinic Bethlehem and passed away in May this year. He was appointed on a five-year fixed-term contract in August 2017.
Municipal spokesperson, Pule Lechesa, says the municipality appointed its director of community services, Motsilisi Lesoetsa, as acting Municipal Manager. Meanwhile, the process to appoint a manager has started with the vacancy being advertised.
