A video showing a Hennenman-based man inhumanely detained inside a dog cage by Free State police officers, has been leaked to OFM News.
According to information, the incident dates back to 2019. It shows a man hunched over, with his hands in cuffs, inside a dog cage on top of an official police bakkie.
In an effort to authenticate the video, OFM News established that the man in the cage, who was arrested by the police officers, is being identified as Tshediso Paul Mohale. Next to him is a barking dog from the K9 unit.
Free State Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says the Provincial Commissioner, Baile Motswenyane, takes the matter seriously and has instituted an urgent investigation as a result. He says the matter is sub judice.
Legal counsel for Mohale, Fannie Zim, is yet to comment to questions sent.
