Bram Fischer reinstates first domestic flights─── LEATILE LEIEE 17:38 Mon, 06 Jul 2020

The Bram Fischer International Airport located in Bloemfontein reinstated its domestic flight schedule earlier with an SA Airlink flight that landed from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
The domestic flight schedule was reinstated on Monday.
According to the Senior Corporate Affairs Manager for Regional Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), Senzeni Ndebele, SA Airlink is the only airline that has confirmed its flight schedule which will be operating between OR Tambo, Cape Town International Airport and Bram Fischer.
Ndebele told OFM News that strict measures are being taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus with meet and greets being prohibited and passengers being screened before entering the terminal building, among many protocols that have been laid out.
“We are asking everybody to check-in online so that contact between the agents and passengers is reduced. We also encourage people to wrap their luggage, and when approaching the security terminal, to scan their own boarding passes to avoid contact with security.”
Ndebele assured that passengers will be allowed to keep a small bottle of sanitiser with them.
When asked if employees have been tested for Covid-19, she assured that everyone went through testing and screening but could not disclose the medical conditions of employees.
“We are looking forward to welcoming all our business travellers at the Bram Fischer International Airport. We also welcome any suggestions from passengers to improve their flights, as the health and safety of airport users, as well as employees, are a priority to the airport,” Ndebele concluded.
