NC water cuts continue─── SAZLY HARTZENBERG 13:53 Mon, 11 Feb 2019
Residents in Kimberley in the Northern Cape can still expect water cuts in the evenings, as stage 5 water restrictions continue.
The Sol Plaatje municipal spokesperson, Sello Matsie, told OFM News that the dam levels benefit when less water is being consumed. He further said that they are grateful for the rain.
Matsie said that the dam levels do fluctuate and that they will only be comfortable once the dam levels reach about 15ft.
OFM News previously reported that Kimberley in the Northern Cape will soon be left without water. This is because the Sol Plaatje Municipality now has to implement stage 5 water restrictions due to the fact that the dam levels are critically low.
The Sol Plaatje municipality encourages residents of Kimberley to use water sparingly. The Sol Plaatje municipality spokesperson, Sello Matsie, told OFM News that the municipality had informed the public in advance of the water restrictions so that they could be prepared.
