North West farmers get support from government ahead of planting season─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 07:02 Tue, 06 Nov 2018
More than R46 million has been set aside by the Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development to support smallholder farmers in the province with crop production inputs.
The department announced last month during the launch of the planting season that the money will also be used to assist these farmers to cultivate more than 14 000 hectares of agricultural land to be planted during the next season. It will also be used in a program to commercialise black farmers.
