National Tourism Career Expo to be launched in BFN─── 05:45 Tue, 25 Aug 2015
Bloemfontein - Free State MEC of Tourism, Sam Mashinini, and Deputy Tourism Minister, Tokozile Xasa, will today launch a National Tourism Career Expo (NTCE) in Bloemfontein.
The event will be held at the city’s main tourist attraction, Naval Hill. While the three-day expo will only be held in October, preparations for the event are underway.
Mashinini says the event will provide young, unemployed people with job opportunities. He says young people will get the opportunity to showcase their creativity to international investors.
Mashinini says over 10 000 learners and tourism students from across the country are expected to attend the event.
Mashinini added that the project aims to show young people that there are plenty of job opportunities in the tourism sector. The Expo will be held under the theme “Tourism: Alive with opportunities.”
