Bloemfontein - The Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality has elected to donate land to Motheo FET College which will see the various campuses being integrated into one facility.
Council members unanimously decided that the institution needed space to expand during a special council meeting in Bloemfontein yesterday.
Currently Motheo College is divided into three campuses around Mangaung - in Thaba Nchu, Hillside View and the Bloemfontein CBD.
Some of the other issues discussed at the meeting, headed by speaker Mxolisi Siyonzana, were the 2012/13 audit outcomes and property ownership regarding the land on which the municipality plans to develop the N8 corridor.
While the Free State province is expected to donate the land to the municipality, it still doesn’t officially own it.
