Bloemfontein - A South African Airforce aircraft was forced to do a hard landing at the Tempe Airfield this morning after experiencing a technical problem presumably with the front wheel of the aircraft.
According to a media liaison of the airforce, Ronald Maseko, the Casa 212 was coming in to land at the airfield just outside Bloemfontein when the problem occurred.
Maseko says a team was immediately dispatched to the scene, but luckily no-one was injured.
According to Maseko a specialist board will determine the extent of the damage to the aircraft.
