The Bloemfontein-based Premier Soccer League club, Marumo Gallants, have strengthened their attack by signing a new striker on a short-term deal.

Gallants, currently 14th on the log and fighting for survival in the league, have secured the services of former Bafana Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu.

Ndlovu, a well-travelled footballer, is no stranger to the Free State, having previously played for Bloemfontein Celtic on loan while he was still on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns.

More recently, the 35-year-old has played abroad, featuring for Maccabi Haifa in Israel, Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus, and Qarabag in Azerbaijan. He also had stints in China with Zhejiang Greentown and Changchun Yatai.

Additionally, 21-year-old winger Qbarate Shaun Morgan has been promoted to the senior team to add further firepower to the squad.

Head coach Adbes Quaddou expressed his excitement about the two new additions and is confident they will bring value to the team. “We are delighted to welcome Dino to the Marumo Gallants family,” said the former Moroccan international captain.

“I’ve watched Qbarate play, and I believe he is a talented player. Their experience, skill, and ability will undoubtedly strengthen our attacking line-up and boost our chances of success.”

Gallants face a crucial week ahead, starting with an away fixture against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday, followed by a must-win clash against fellow relegation-threatened SuperSport United in Bloemfontein next week.
