The Pumas are locked and loaded ahead of tomorrow’s Airlink Cup final against the Griquas in Nelspruit.

It will be the first time these rivals square off in a final since last year’s Currie Cup final in Kimberley which was won 26-19 by the Pumas.

During round one of the tournament the Peacock Blues edged the Pumas 21-19 in Welkom.

The Pumas lock and captain, Shane Kirkwood, told OFM Sport that they are ready for whatever the Griquas throw at them.

“It's always a massive game against them and it is going to be physical,” said Kirkwood.

“We're really had a good week of training and preparation and we focused a lot on our setpieces.

“I read an article where the Griquas said they are going to target us in our setpieces, so we are up for the challenge and we are definitely looking forward to that.”

Tomorrow’s Cup final at the Mbombela Stadium kicks off at 15:00, while at 13:00 the Griffons and Leopards will contest the Shield Final.
