“He bought into all of that and he has been amazing since arriving. He came in from the UK recently and has been training really well with the boys.”

The Western Force are impressed with their new signing Harry Potter after his debut for the team last week against the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Potter, who joined the Force from the Leicester Tigers in England, scored one of the team's three tries during their 31-27 defeat to the Cheetahs in the opening game of the four-match Toyota Challenge.

The 25-year-old Potter is equally comfortable at centre or on the wing but earned a man-of-the-match performance playing at fullback.

The Force coach, Simon Cron, told OFM Sport that they are impressed with what Potter has brought to the Perth-based team and he believes he has what it takes to become a Wallaby.

“Harry is going to be great for us,” said Cron.

“We had some conversations last year about the Force in terms of where we are heading and what we are trying to do.

“He bought into all of that and he has been amazing since arriving. He came in from the UK recently and has been training with the boys.

“He drives a really high standard and you can see he is talented – we believe that he will be a Wallaby.”

Saturday’s second game between the Cheetahs and Force at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
