I want to be a part of it - Boshoff─── MORGAN PIEK 08:05 Thu, 07 Apr 2022
The Toyota Cheetahs centre, Evardi Boshoff, is excited to continue his stay at the franchise after extending his contract.
Boshoff who joined the Cheetahs after the Varsity Cup last year is one of whole host of young players that extended their contracts with the team.
These include David Brits, Cohen Jasper, Gideon van der Merwe and Jeandré Rudolph.
Boshoff told OFM Sport that he wants to learn as much as he can from the more senior statesmen.
“I've been enjoying my time here, so it was an easy decision to for me to sign again and stay a bit longer”, said the player who starred for the UCT Ikeys in the 2021 Varsity Cup.
“I love playing with Frans Steyn, although I've only played one game with him, and also learning from Ruan Pienaar.
“It's really a nice environment and there is also a lot of younger guys coming through.
“The Cheetahs are definitely building on something and I want to be a part of it. So, it was an easy decision to stay.”
Meanwhile the Cheetahs also announced the signing of Munier Hartzenberg and Mzwanele Zito from the Griquas. Sibabalo Qoma, who previous played for the Free State and the Shimlas will also be returning back to Bloemfontein following a successful stint at the Peacock Blues.
