The Springboks will be naming their team today that will come up against Wales on Saturday in Cardiff.

All the Springboks apart from the winger, Sbu Nkosi, are currently in Wales after spending the past week in camp in France.

Jacques Nienaber’s biggest poser this week will be the selection at scrumhalf between Herschel Jantjies and the in-form, Cobus Reinach.

The Springboks assistant coach, Deon Davids, said both halfbacks are playing good rugby and are deserving of a start.

“We are in the privileged position that we have quality scrumhalves like Herschel Jantjies, that I think is ready to make the step-up.

“Then we also have an experienced campaigner like Cobus Reinach that is playing very well at this stage.

“We've also got a youngster like Grant Williams who is in this environment to learn, but also, at any day and any time we have trust in him to make that step-up going into a test and executing.”

Changes can be expected in the back-three as well with Nkosi, not with the team in Cardiff due to visa issues. This opens the door for Aphelele Fassi to make the step-up and run out on the wing.

It is also believed that the centre, Jessie Kriel, could himself be in the back-three this week, while Damian Willemse may very well replace Willie le Roux at fullback.

Saturday’s Test at the Millennium Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
