Wiese expected to make an impact─── MORGAN PIEK 13:32 Wed, 30 Jun 2021

The former Toyota Cheetahs loose-forward, Jasper Wiese, has the potential to fill the void left by the injured Duane Vermeulen in the Springbok team.
Wiese, who plies his trade for the Leicester Tigers in England, now will be making his Springbok debut on Friday evening against Georgia in Pretoria.
Along with the Cheetahs and Blitzboks speedster, and the Sharks outside back, Aphelele Fassi, Wiese is one of three debutants.
The Springbok coach, Jacques Nienaber, told OFM Sport that Wiese has impressed with his physicality.
“Jasper has been outstanding in the Premiership in terms of getting momentum, and stopping momentum. He was one of the guys that just knocked the door down in terms of getting us to take notice of his performance there.”
Friday evening’s Test at Loftus Versfeld kicks off at 19:00.
