A wild veld fire that has been raging since earlier today in the Vryburg-area has spread to the Old Vryburg Hospital in town.
Emergency Services are on the scene where the old Vryburg Hospital is on fire. This follows after a wild veld fire that has been raging since earlier today in the area spread.
The North West Health Spokesperson, Tebogo Lekgethwane, confirmed that the hospital - that is now being used as a clinic, is on fire.
The police in Vryburg, also those on the scene, said that no injuries have thus far been reported.
OFM General Manager, Nick Efstathiou, says it is amazing how the community of Vryburg has come out to protect its town. He said the residents came together and all pitched in to help fight the fire. “I have not seen something like this in years, this town is amazing," said Efstathiou.
