Northern Cape MEC orders investigation into David Kruiper Municipality─── ANDRE GROBLER 09:37 Sat, 04 Feb 2017
Kimberley - The Northern Cape MEC of Co-operative Governance, Alvin Botes, has ordered an investigation into the management affairs of the David Kruiper Municipality on Friday.
Departmental spokesperson Xhanti Teki says the MEC invoked section 106 of the Municipal Systems Act and announced that a team of officials from his department and the national department would investigate several issues at the municipality.
Teki says the task team has eight issues to investigate.
The investigation will start on 8 February 2017. The team has 14 days to do the investigation and compile a report with recommendations to the MEC. The MEC will then table the recommendations in the David Kuiper Council.
