Bloemfontein - Two people have been seriously injured after crashing into a barrier at the ZR Mahabane toll gate on the R30 near Glen in the Free State.
OFM News has obtained a copy of CCTV footage, which shows a black vehicle approach the tollgate at a high speed, before swerving slightly, crashing into the barrier and flipping over.
The accident occurred shortly before 01:00 on Monday morning.
According to police spokesperson, Ikobeng Hlubi, the occupants of the vehicle were rushed to the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein for treatment.
A charge of reckless and negligent driving is being investigated, but no court date has been determined as yet, since the driver is still in hospital.
