Bloemfontein - The Free State health department has admitted that there could be information gaps regarding the latest developments of the National Health Insurance (NHI) plan.
Department spokesperson Mondli Mvambi's statement comes after provincial Cosatu secretary Monyatso oa Mahlatsi said the NHI pilot project was moving at a snail's pace.
Mvambi says while the NHI is a national programme, he admits that the department could improve levels of communication regarding its progress.
The NHI will be implemented in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality in the Free State during the pilot project.
