Bloemfontein - The inauguration of all 30 members of the Free State Legislature's new caucus will take place at the Raadsaal in Bloemfontein, next Wednesday.
The ANC, with 22 seats, will have ten new members in the provincial legislature.
The DA increased its number from three to five seats, the Economic Freedom Fighters has two seats, while the former official opposition, the Congress of the People, will not be part of this term’s provincial legislature having lost all four of its seats.
The Freedom Front Plus retained its single seat. ANC provincial secretary William Bulwane.
Meanwhile, from the three DA members that were representing the party during the previous legislative term, only Roy Jankielsohn will still be part of the caucus.
Peter Frewen was sixth on the party’s candidate list and Basil Alexander decided to join to the ANC.
Jankielsohn this week introduced David van Vuuren, Leona Kleynhans, James Lethuka and Marietta Pittaway as the new DA members that will represent the party.
The Freedom Front Plus’s provincial leader Wouter Wessels will remain the only FF Plus candidate.
The Economic Freedom Fighters will be represented by Mandisa Mkhesini and Willie Tshabalala.
The ANC’s 22 provincial legislative seats are held by Ace Magashule, Sisi Mabe, Tate Makgoe, Mathabo Leeto, Butana Komphela, Sisi Ntombela, Oupa Khoabane, Mamiki Qabathe, Sam Mashinini, Olly Mlamleli, Mosebenzi Zwane, Sarah Moleleki, Sizwe Mbalo, Nombulelo Mapena, Thabo Meeko, Elzabe Rockman, Benny Malakoane, Patricia Mahasa, Neels Van Rooyen, Kediinametse Sechoaro, Patrick Buti and Dora Kotzee.
The ten ousted ANC members are Pheello Parkies, Petrus Maloka, Emily Thoabala, Maureen Scheepers, Sibongile Tsoleli, Kgotso Sesele, Dan Kgothule, Jonas Ramokgoase and Ouma Tsopo.
New legislative members who will represent the ANC are Mathabo Leeto, Oupa Khoabane, Sarah Moleleki, Nombulelo Mapena, Thabo Meeko, Patricia Mahasa, Kediinametse Sechoaro, Patrick Buti and Dora Kotzee.
