No immediate danger of flooding at Bloemhof─── 12:55 Sat, 15 Mar 2014

There is no immediate danger of flooding downstream from the Bloemhof Dam but authorities remain on high alert.
Water Affairs Acting Director General Trevor Balzer says the Bloemhof Dam is now 102% full.
He earlier explained that the dam can only sustain a 107% and that outflow may be increased as such that communities in the area may need to evacuate.
The Gariep and Van der Kloof dams are also expected to overflow today.
Water levels in the Vaal Dam have however subsided.
