“But, I'm still happy with the position we're in. I'm not looking at the results, but more at the process we need to follow, and the results will go up to itself.”

The North West Dragons remain upbeat heading into their CSA T20 Challenge clash against the Titans in Centurion on Tuesday night (15/10).

The Dragons suffered their first defeat on the weekend after stumbling against the Warriors at St George’s Park.

The Dragons are still in for a strong shout at booking a home playoff in the competition but they want to start building on their momentum again.

The Dragons coach, Craig Alexander, told OFM Sport that while he wasn’t overly happy with their performance in Gqeberha, and believes that if they execute better, especially in the bowling, the results will come.

“It was but disappointing to lose in PE – they outplayed us on the day,” said Alexander.

‘I wasn't happy with the bowling’

“But also in saying that, I wasn't happy with the bowling. We never executed our plans. It was never a 220 wicket, I felt it was definitely more of a 190 to 200 wicket. We leaked a bit in our bowling, and there were just a few execution errors.

“But, I’m still happy with the position we’re in. I’m not looking at the results, but more at the process we need to follow, and the results will go up.

“We had a good start albeit it one loss now, but the spirits are still high and the guys are really looking forward to taking on the Titans.”

The former seam bowler added that he was at the game when the Knights beat the Titans at SuperSport Park on Sunday, and he is confident that they can roll over the home team as well.

“I was actually at the game and watched the Knights play. They really outplayed the Titans – like we did a few times as well last season. So we’re coming here again to the Titans on their ground, but with the belief that we actually beat them with bonus points already.

“So there are a lot of positive vibes and we’re really looking forward to tomorrow’s game.”

Tuesday night’s game at SuperSport Park gets underway at 18:00.
