Dolphins way of dangerous Knights─── MORGAN PIEK 12:03 Mon, 14 Oct 2024
The Dolphins are heading to Bloemfontein with renewed confidence for their CSA T20 Challenge game against the Knights on Wednesday.
On Sunday the Dolphins beat Western Province by 4 wickets at Kingsmead for their first win of the campaign and this has just reignited the belief in the camp.
The Knights have given themselves a chance to reach the knockout rounds they too will be gunning for back-to-back wins.

The Dolphins coach, Quinton Friend, told OFM Sport the victory against Western Province was a good win which gives them renewed confidence going into the match against his former team.
“It’s about finding the right combinations, about the team gelling and finding the best ways possible to get over the line,” said the former Knights fast bowler.
“At the end of the day, it’s small little processes that we’re focusing on. In saying that, beating Western Province on Sunday was a very good win for us, and I think a very good confidence builder for the team as well.”
Friend will know Free State cricket like the back of his hand and that with the addition of Rilee Rossouw to the Knights squad makes them a lot more formidable and they will have to get their plans in place and execute.
“The Knights have had a fantastic win over the Titans and they are going to be a strong team, there is no doubting that,” Friend added.
“With the likes of Rilee Rossouw back in their batting line-up I think his wealth of experience counts hugely within that team space.
“It’s important for us to have good plans, especially against Rilee. But in saying that they have also got the power of Jacques Snyman at the top as well.
“It’s just important that we do our homework and execute well on the day.”
Wednesday’s game at the Mangaung Oval is scheduled to start at 18:00.
