‘We have been playing really good cricket’ – Cronjé─── MORGAN PIEK 12:50 Mon, 07 Oct 2024
“It is a good bunch of people together in the group. The cricket we play is a very good brand, so it’s only positive things from our side.”
The Knights will target a first home win of the season on Wednesday when they face the Lions in Bloemfontein in round four of the CSA T20 Challenges.
The Knights secured their first win of the T20 Challenge on Sunday with a 16-run victory against the Warriors at St George’s Park.
This has given the Free State a boost after narrowly losing out to the North West Dragons and Boland in their first two games of the season.
There have been some really good individual performances in the competition thus far such as the knocks by Jacques Snyman and Garnett Tarr against the Warriors on Sunday, while Malusi Siboto’s four-for at St. George’s Park was also exceptional.
The Knights spinning allrounder, Ruan Cronjé, told OFM Sport that they will back themselves against the defending champions.
“We have been playing really good cricket,” said Cronjé.
“We trying to play a positive brand of cricket, where we just go out there without any fear of failure, and to express ourselves. The way we have lost in a couple of games is obviously very disappointing, but we were there in the mix to win.

“Personally, I think the morale in the team is very good, it’s just a bit frustrating because we weren't able to get over the line. Fortunately, now against the Warriors, we did. It just shows that we can. It shows that we are there.
