The Proteas will be drawing on the Springboks 29-28 quarter-final win against the French at the Rugby World Cup in Paris on Sunday night.

The Proteas are on fire at the Cricket World Cup in India, but on Tuesday in Dharamshala, India, they have a tricky match when they come up against the Netherlands.

The Proteas are expected to win the game, but they have been upset by the Dutch before at the World Cup.

The Proteas are confident after solid wins against both Sri Lanka and Australia and they will want to continue with their momentum.

The Proteas captain, Temba Bavuma, said the Springboks victory has inspired them as a team.

“Yeah, definitely and I'm still trying to wake up from the late night,” said Bavuma,

“It was an incredible game - inspirational the way the guys went about their business. I think the intensity that the game was played at from the first minute till the last, I think that's one thing that the guys kept speaking about.” 

We’re obviously happy, as they were able to get over the line. But yeah, incredible, inspirational game.

Bavuma added that while they are unbeaten at the tournament it’s important to continue doing what has been working for them and not underestimate their opponents.

“I think we just keep doing what we're doing. We'll take it game by game, as I always say.

“Every game will present different opportunities, different challenges, and it's for us to man up to whatever those challenges are.

“So, coming up against Netherlands on Tuesday, nothing will be different. We'll assess conditions here in Dharamsala and play accordingly.

“But yes, it has been a good start and we want to be two and two. I think the important thing is that we keep getting better and better and use that momentum."

Tuesday’s match between South Africa and the Netherlands gets underway at 10:30.
